With a view of providing opportunities to students to explore different avenues for expressing their talents and abilities, and also to encourage students to learn various life skills that are expected to go hand in hand with their scholastic learning, the College has various forums like Science, Arts and Commerce in which all students of the respective streams are members. In addition to these forums, all students automatically become members of the Cultural, Literary and Sports forums. The convener for each of these forums will be a staff member, The student office bearers for the posts of Vice President, General Secretary and two Joint Secretaries (one post reserved for girl students) for each of these forums are selected by the students. The office bearers in coordination with the conveners plan and conduct various co-curricular and extracurricular activities during the academic year. The forums also train students to participate in University and College level competitions.

The NCC sub-unit is attached to the 27 Karnataka Battalion. Both the Boys wing and Girls wing operate from the College. Interested students can enroll themselves as cadets. Physical fitness will be the main criteria to join NCC. The battalion has over the years sent a number of cadets for the Republic day Parade at Delhi. Many of our cadets have qualified themselves and secured B and C Certificates. This has helped them to utilize the seats reserved under NCC quota for getting admissions to various courses of higher learning and also for placements in different organizations.

A National Service Scheme (NSS) unit is functioning in the College. The Unit conducts activities which cover the surrounding areas and has also volunteered its services where ever required. The Unit aims to inculcate, in the students, a sense of dignity of labour, social commitment respect and love for rural folk. It also helps students acquire leadership qualities, problem solving abilities and sensitivity to social problems in the society they live in. Students with interest and commitment to social issues are welcome to join the NSS. Students who serve under this scheme will be issued certificates. It will help them in the seat allotment for higher education and placements.

The Yuva Red Cross Unit creates awareness among students regarding the human service during war or natural calamities, blood donation first aid and other health associated activities.

A Rover and Ranger crew is started to inculcate discipline and service motto in the students, as per the orders of the Government.

Suvarna, the College Annual magazine is published every year. The objective is to provide a platform to the students to express and nurture their literary and artistic skills. Student representatives are encouraged to take up responsibilities in the editorial board giving them hands on experience of bringing out a magazine.

The Physical Education Department provides ample opportunities for the students to take part in various sports and games at College level and University level. Many of our sports men have won laurels at university level competitions and have represented Bangalore University at National level competitions. There exist facilities for a host of indoor and outdoor games for both boys and girls.

The College provides facilities for students to enroll in spoken English classes at a nominal cost. A well equipped English lab helps needy students acquire the requisite skills to communicate with confidence in English. The classes are scheduled so that they do not clash with their regular classes and a certificate is given on successful completion of the Course.

Commerce students are exposed to the practical aspects of their course in sessions conducted in the business lab. The lab is well equipped with computers and an internet facility.
